What is an Assessment Report?

Data Room for secure collaboration

An assessment report is a piece of paper that summarizes the results of an assessment. It can be used to improve internal processes by highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of an organisation. It is typically written by an external source however, it could also be produced internally. Assessments are often used as part of the training and development programs or as part a broader company performance review.

Assessment reports should clearly articulate the results of the evaluation and what actions have been taken in response to these findings. They should be simple to read and include a mixture of images and text to convey information. They should also consider the fundamentals of design for the company to ensure that they are effectively presented and align with the brand.

Evaluation of a program isn’t about identifying if students have met pre-requisite requirements and, more importantly, how they have progressed over time and whether the curriculum has been successful in enhancing the student’s outcomes. Assessment reporting for each academic year is one way to show this. These reports of assessment provide evidence that programs are evaluating their curriculum, and demonstrating ongoing improvement and implementing changes to practice when the results of previous assessments are evaluated.
